All of the material in this series was made from the front facing of a single building in Rodarte, New Mexico. This old and abandoned adobe had many layers of paint that converged around the vigas (central ceiling beams). This interesting juxtoposition of paint colors alongside the vigas and the weathered cracks of the adobe were irresistable to me.

I took it upon myself to create a project that would attempt to create as many compositions as possible from the facing of this one building. The resulting series enjoyed much success with photographs selling off the floor before I could even get them hung in the gallery. They are a colorful and simple homage to the aging adobe and remind me to look for the beauty in the overlooked or discarded.
