I found this building on the main street in Tierra Amarilla, New Mexico. An old abandoned ballroom with the interior completely caved in. The exterior walls still claimed its purpose and a few advertisements painted on the adobe were starting to fade away.

I found the colors bright and inviting, too bad the dancing stopped decades ago. On the sidewalk outside the Ballroom was a sidewalk panel imprinted with child's hand prints. I couldn't resist thinking that some of those children might have actually grown up to dance at the ballroom. I can hear the sounds of ranchero music, smell the dust on the floor and see the faces of cabelleros dancing through the night with their partners..
